The doctrine of Spirituality
aka dealing with demons according to the dreams of demons
"Through their dreams that they tell one another, they plan to cause my people to forget my name as their ancestors forgot my name through demonic supernatural experiences and worship. The prophet who has only a dream should recount the dream, but the one who has my word should speak my word truthfully, for what is straw compared to grain?”—this is the Lord’s declaration. - Jeremiah 23:27-28
The prophet Jeremiah is speaking about prophets, teachers, and preachers who say, "I've had a dream!" "I've had a dream!"
And how their focus, their ultimate concern, is not on the guidence of God's word, but on the spiritual power they feel from the heart when they are following the spirit of their thoughts. These "prophets" profane the word of God. They speak prophetic scoffings and taunting at the Lord's word. And they take God's word and use it to express their own dreams and imaginations. They bewitch the congregations and hypnotize them with these dreams of their own imaginations. Their sermons and prayers are not measured by God's word but instead follow after other gods, causes, and political purposes. They make jest of the serious and tickle the minds of the people. They teach that those who are teaching the Word of God with righteous thought and careful restraining prayers for wisdom, are laying a heavy burden on the people. And so they mock the sacred things as Satan might in his dark glee. And The Lord tells us to never profane and reproof his word by saying "the burden of the Lord", or in another word, "the Lord told me to tell you."
Jeremiah 23:38
Although you claim, ‘This is a message from the LORD,’ this is what the LORD says: You used the words, ‘This is a message from the LORD,’ even though I told you that you must not claim, ‘This is a message from the LORD.’
What are we supposed to do with this information...just us regular folk sitting in the churches? We're not the product of seminaries and conferences. We haven't be instructed by the graduates of the Jesus seminar. Our faith is founded in the rebirth through Jesus Christ, and his redeeming grace, authorized in Him by his holiness and divine lordship. We don't follow after an idea, we follow The Lord. We're not confused by panels of New Testament scholars who don't believe Jesus said the things he said about himself. We aren't confused about who Jesus is, or his divine nature. How do we determine whether these teachers are seeing into the Word with right vision and not just their own confused dreams? How do we deal with these anti-supernatural, rationalistic evangelists who put words into Jesus’ mouth that He never actually said?
The simple answer for us simple people is to stand firm in the Word. And hold on tight to the truth. Remember that both the Scriptures and history affirm that there were many eyewitnesses to the life of Jesus. These eyewitnesses, both pro-Christian (e.g., Acts 2:32) and anti-Christian (e.g., Acts 2:22), were alive at the time the oral tradition was forming and the written sources were prepared. The writers of the gospels knew the direct eyewitnesses, they benefited from their oral testimony. And ultimately, one simple truth remains. If Jesus isn't who he said he was, and all that his follows testified about was foolishness or a lie, then all of our faith, EVERYTHING we believe, all our Sunday services are based upon a false insane prophet's musings. It's waste of our time. Not one good thing can come from it.
So if you're sitting there in your church pew maybe slightly doubting Jesus is who he said he was because a Pastor doubts the witness of the Bible writers...RUN!!! Get the hell out of there. That Pastor is a hypnotist sent by Satan to confuse you. You should not be sitting in a church Sunday after Sunday being confused about whether or not Jesus Christ is the son of the living God. If you are, if you are confused, then you need to find a teacher of God's word who understands its divine origins and doesn't believe it's the imaginations of first century crazy people.
And I say get out because everything that prophet will teach is like poison working its way through the veins of the church, ruining everything it touches. It's not enough to live and breathe in fellowship alone. The community of the churches is important, but the life of the church is in the blood of Jesus Christ, and the word of God. And no matter how wonderful a church community is, it is false and spiritually dead if it is not relying upon the word of God as its firm foundation. The congregations must lean on the firm foundation that is found in the Bible. It is on this foundation that they build the soul of the church. It is the work of the church to build souls. It's wonderful to be a member of a church, to be baptized, and confirmed into that church family, but it's not enough if it is not built up upon the word of God. For faith comes by hearing, and hearing comes by the word of God. Faith does not come by rituals and traditional attendance practices passed down by families over the generations. The family and church traditions, absent from the word of God, creates an empty soul.
Too many church families are being led by absent fathers, and who abuse the word of God. The fruit of these confused dreamers is the natural product of a diseased tree. With roots in rationalism, they grow a tree afflicted with the errors of humanist criticism. This tree produces corrupt fruit. Their assumptions and approach to the bible is internally and biblically flawed. They're a diseased root. Their dreams are rooted in rot. And like so many before them...
“For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God, or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools…”
(Roman 1:21-22).
Friends...find a good church family because it's good to be around good people who love God. But first and foremost that church must follow the Word of God and hold firm in their hearts and minds that Jesus is the Christ, Son of the living God. And that churches main directive MUST BE about saving souls.
Everything else churches do can be accomplished by secular means and of no heavenly good if it's not in Christ.
God bless and keep you now and every day.
