I wanna wish you a Merry Christmas from the bottom of my heart.
It's the heart that sends and receives the true message of Christmas with all of its hope, goodwill, and cheer. The real Christmas message goes deep into the human heart. It heralds the entrance of God into human history and through that message God's spirit inspires humanity. Christmas answers all the great questions that plague the human family. The Christmas message is relevant in every generation, it's revolutionary in every season, and it reassures multitudes of believers even in this dark age.
On that first Christmas night, the Gospel (good news) testimonies tells us about the angel coming to and saying, “Fear not, I bring you good news” (Luke 2). This is the true meaning of Christmas—the Good News—that God sent His only Son to Earth to save people from their sins. Through multiple dimensions the Godhead traveled into our world, and going even deeper through our spirits, he renewed our hearts.
Micah 5:2
"But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times."
Jews were waiting for a Savior from the ancient of days, and God sent Jesus, Immanuel, to fulfill that age old prophecy. God tells the prophet Micah that Jesus was always there; he came from “of old, from ancient of days.” Since the beginning he was, and we who love God and obey his word know that he still is. That prophetic statement should remind us all that the Lord has never lost control in our world. And though many did not know him, God's prophets believed the message of Christmas sent by the angels, “he will turn many of the children of Israel to the Lord their God.” (Luke 1:16-17)
So many ponder the true meaning of Christmas. If you were to ask me I'd of course talk about the baby who was born to Mary who was more than just another man child—I'd talk about how He was God in human flesh. How He came into the world for one reason: to make it possible for our sins to be forgiven, so we could become part of God’s family forever. I'd of course add that we shouldn't leave Him there in the manger. He came to live as an adult and ultimately die the death of a criminal but in truth he was an innocent man. And of course, in my telling I'd also add all about His overcoming death and His resurrection and ascendancy into glory. And what story about Christ would be complete if I didn't share about his kingdom come.
All that aside-I think the most important takeaway should be that God [The Word], who exists beyond all the constraints of the multiverse, has come into our lives in the person of Jesus.
As the Bible says, “The Word was God… [and] the Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us” (John 1:1, 14).
As Christmas Day approaches, I pray you all will look at Jesus—as He is revealed in the pages of the New Testament—with an open heart and mind. When you do, I pray that you’ll discover not only that God is real, but that He loves you and wants to transform your life.
Merry Christmas Friends
