We Are The Church Of The Last Days
Friends,
So many people pray for a revival and a new "Jesus Movement" to inspire this dark age. And I pray for that as well. BUT, I also laugh out loud because I immediately think, "be careful what you pray and prepare for". You might just get what you would ACTUALLY fear the most. You might bring on a civil war. You might start a revolution and wake up the dry bones. You might overturn YOUR own tables you've set up over many years. You might get what you prayed for and you might SHUT your church doors against it! The Holy Spirit might set up shop in your congregation and you might not like him doing that! Why? Because he might not conform to your favoritism and conformity. You might become a stumbling block.
Friends, do not fear the AntiChrist, instead be fearfully aware of the Lord's return. And most importantly be filled with JOY (revival) for the Lord has not abandoned us in these dark and illusionary times, he (God) IN FACT has been with us all along. Yes, many are and will be deceived, BUT God's foot is currently on the neck of the Devil restraining him. Nothing is overcoming our God! No power on earth can resist God's Almighty right hand (Jesus). Be of good cheer and rejoice in these dark troubled days, God is with us. You are not alone.
There is no such thing as a small error. Especially since it's God who sends the lie in order to ensnare the lawless ones. These folks who have set up the embodiment of the worst characteristics of spiritual unholiness from within. Those good well intentioned people who have put the congregations in jeopardy of falling away from the faith. Those false teachers who have been knowingly and unwittingly setting up stumbling blocks to the regeneration that comes through the rebirth that is found in Christ Jesus and the baptism of The Holy Spirit.
There's a lot going on in the world around us these days, at the speed of virtual reality. Seems like the pendulum of fate swings back and forth violently. And at times it runs afoul of knuckleheads on every side of every issue. Sometimes it can feel like the darkness is overcoming the light. Church families are splintering, and that's a swing. New revivals and revitalizations of spiritual awareness are spontaneously spreading within the vacuum that's left behind, and that's another swing.
Vanity Fair legacy churches are fading into the obscurity they've clung to and created for themselves for the sake of the institutionalized priestly orders. They've long been suffering under the powers of the prince of the air and his lying thieving self interests, and that's a huge swing. And among all this upheaval, that frankly must happen, is going to come a myriad of false starts by false teachings. This means the situation will require great revelatory wisdom and good discerning judgments focused upon the One True Way.
We all make judgments about a myriad of things everyday. It's really important that we use good judgment. Jesus of course cautions us to become self aware when we judge other's relationship with the truth, since in whatever way we choose to judge others so shall we be judged. It's not a commandment, just a cautionary statement to check ourselves and our points of view that could be obscuring our discernment by a sequoia sized tree in our own eyes.
God did not create us so He could judge us, and he didn't create us to judge one another's relationship with Himself. God did create mankind to make judgments about the creation. He created us to know and name the universe of created things. He created us to track and transcribe the evidence of creation. All this requires our using judgments of a sort. We were not created to aimlessly wonder blindly in the world, blind to the realities or our situations. Jesus simply wants us to approach the job of judgment justly, with kindness and a concern for goodness, like a small child he said.
Like a child:
Jesus said - “I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven." (Matthew 18:1-4)
Little children are without worldly ambition, they don't care what other people think about them. They are honest and without guile, they say what they mean. They are capable of receiving love, the seek out new experiences. They are humble, they let their minds wander and wonder. They aren't yet stuck in the security of self interest, or stuck up in their social circles. What makes little children special is they are helpless, vulnerable, and God can use their weakness to show His Mighty strength.
Be vulnerable:
The apostle Paul said, “I take pleasure in infirmities… for when I am weak, then I am strong” (2 Cor 12:10). Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. (2 Cor 6:17)
Friends,
I pray for the revival of our communities of faith. I pray "come out" "come out", be a part of those who COME in the name of The Lord. I pray you all allow the Spirit to lead you OUT from the mausoleums and museums that so many undiscerning faith institutions have become at the distracting slights of hand that comes from the Devil. I pray you will not receive unto yourself the impulses and impurities of this age. I pray for a revival in your soul and a restoration of spirit.
