#HeGetsUs doesn't get Jesus.
Jesus said (Matthew 3:2)
"Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.”
And he went on to say...
“Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me."
Matthew 16:24
Jesus washed his disciples feet, on the last night of his ministry before he died for everyone's sin after teaching and preaching repentance and forgiveness of sin in him.
Kind of a specialized washing.
Jesus did wash the feet of his followers. And when his followers tried to stop him, he explained that he came to serve, not be served.
That said...he also claimed to be the Son of God, the Messiah, King of Kings, Lord of Lords.
The He Gets Us delusion is good with not believing Jesus' testimony regarding his divinity.
Right, so what's the message here, Jesus washes the pregnant girls feet and then dismembers her unborn child and disposes of it out of radical love?
That's a message that will get people to follow the truth?
Nonsense.
