THEY'LL BE SINGING A NEW TUNE
The Promise Is The Reason For The Season
🎵 They'll be singing a new tune 🎶
The hope of the Messiah is the heart of the Jewish people, and yet many did not know him when he came. There are a lot of reasons why, very human reasons. Today I'm not focused on that aspect of this drama between God and Man. Instead I want to jump ahead and get right to the point of all this stuff.
The Promise from God
Isaiah 16:4-5
"When oppression and destruction have ended and enemy raiders have disappeared, then God will establish one of David’s descendants as king. He will rule with mercy and truth. He will always do what is just and be eager to do what is right"
How will there be a rebuilt Temple Mount for the coming Messiah with the Muslim Mosque being there?
There have been recent archaeological findings that point to the existence of an ancient design for a wall (North wall) of separation between the outer and inner court. And also evidence that the dome of the rock holy of holies is possibly not positioned where it has been said to be (probably instead the rock of the altar). And if this is so, a new wall could be constructed (in the north) to reestablish the separation between the outer gentile courts and the temple inner courts. And there has also been evidence about this found in the book of Ezekiel.
"There was an outer wall (in the north) parallel to the rooms and the outer court"
Ezekiel 42:7
And so why is any of this important?
I believe that when the church age ends with the great taking up of the bride of Christ (what some call the rapture), and the Spirit is no longer restraining the evil influencers, the beginning of the end begins. And the people of the world will see the rebuilding of that temple wall and the restoration of the temple worship and sacrifice. And sadly many among the remnant of God's people will fail to see that the Messiah that comes in that time, yet to come, is in fact the AntiChrist.
They will have missed the warning that Jesus (The Messiah) gave about that time yet to come.
READ MARK 13:14–20
"When you see the abomination of desolation standing where he ought not to be (let the reader understand), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains"
After all, the parallel verse in Matthew 24:15 says that the abomination would stand in "the holy place," a clear reference to the temple. That holy place is the holy of holies. Christ told the disciples that when they saw this abomination, they were to flee the city. He was referencing Daniel chapter nine. And even after he had been arrested, executed, and rose up alive again from the grave, he again made reference to these things in the Old Testament to help his disciples understand who he is.
“You foolish people! (Jesus said) You find it so hard to believe all that the prophets wrote in the Scriptures. Wasn’t it clearly predicted that the Messiah would have to suffer all these things before entering his glory?” (Luke 24).
Jesus (King of The Universe) came as a man to essentially give a walk through living Bible study through what was the Bible in those days, (just the Old Testament). He came, he lived, and he fulfilled all of the OT promises but one, (the seventy seven). And he faithfully warned his people. He walked with his own disciples and yet they didn't know him, but still he remained and appeared before them again. And when they came together (two or more) to talk about him, he came and he still comes even today.
So much misinformation, so much misunderstanding, and so many misconceptions. It's the way of mankind. It's unbelief.
God is faithful to come and gather his people to himself. The remnant of God's people must flee into the wilderness when they see the north wall being rebuilt and the restoration of the temple sacrifices. And many will. This is promised for the people of Israel. God will be faithful to keep his covenant, he will come to rescue them.
(For further understanding see the prophecy in Daniel 9:20-24)
THE GOOD NEWS - The Turning Point
So what about the gentiles and the remnant Messianic Jews who have already accepted Christ as the Messiah?
What's to come?
Singing!
Revelation 5:9
And they (not angels but the redeemed of mankind who are in Christ) sang a new song with these words:
“You are worthy to take the scroll
and break its seals and open it.
For you were slaughtered, and your blood has ransomed people for God
from every tribe and language and people and nation."
Angels could join in on the Chorus, but the people of God, the children of God sing the song.
This is the church. They won't be seeing and dealing with this false Messiah, the AntiChrist.
They'll be singing a new tune.
