Are You Transitioning? Intimately?
Read:
Galatians 6:15
"It doesn’t matter whether we have been circumcised or not. What counts is whether we have been transformed into a new creation."
Intimacy is the connection of spirit to spirit, heart to heart, community to community. A process, it takes time and commitment. It's an investment in self and devotion to another. Trust is built upon that intimacy. It's foundational to trusting one another. And the same goes for the relationship we do or don't have with the Almighty God. Intimacy is a two way street. Building intimacy involves listening as well as speaking. You can pray incessantly and serve in a lifelong ministry, but are you listening? Are you focused on receiving instruction? Are you studying God's word? Are you listening? Is your relationship with God a one way connection? Is it superficial?
Try this:
Devote some time for insight. Get alone in a meditation place. Bring your Bible and leave your phone. Pray for intimacy. And listen. And as you rest in your heavenly fathers lap, as you pray and devote this time, keep in mind this one thought, and begin to repeat this thoughtful phrase:
He died for us.
He died for us.
He died for us.
Continue to pray and repeat this phrase in your thoughts.
Then look up 2 Corinthians 5:21
After reading the verse say outloud:
He died for us - To Become Sin For Us
Then look up Isaiah 53:10
Then say: He died for us - To Please His Heavenly Father
Then look up 1 John 5:8
Then say: He died for us - To Show The Father’s Love For Us
Then look up 1 Peter 2:21
Then say: He died for us - To Set The Perfect Example of Self Sacrifice
Then look up John 20:31
Then say: He died for us - To Give Us Eternal Spiritual Life
Then look up Ephesians 5:2
Then say: He died for us - To Show His Love For Us
Then look up Romans 6:22-23
Then say: He died for us - To Liberate Us From Our Sin
Then look up Romans 5:1-2
Then say: He died for us - To Give Us Peace With God
Then look up 1 Peter 3:18
Then say: He died for us - To Bring Us To God
Then look up Matthew 5:17
Then say: He died for us - To Fulfill The Old testament Law
Pause a moment for reflection...
Then say this:
He died for us
He died for us
He died for me
He died for me
He died for me because_____________________________________________________________________(Fill in your own spirit led thoughts)
May your day be blessed and your revelations be many, in the name of the Father, Son, and The Holy Spirit.
Further reflection thoughts:
God could not balance the scales of human death for us without becoming human like us. God in his own nature cannot die, but God and man are now united in one person, our Lord Jesus Christ. God sits upon the scales in the person of Jesus. God's blood and death sits upon that scale. If Jesus was only a man, not God, then we are lost. His human person alone cannot balance the scale, he must be divine in order to make them balance.
Martin Luther said: “We Christians should know that if God is not in the scale to give it weight, we, on our side, sink to the ground."
I pray and hope you find inspiration and intimacy in your walk with Jesus. I hope you realize that God sees you as a precious jewel. He loves you so much that he died for you. No greater love than that. No greater security then to know you are covered in his blood. No greater hope than the eternal life he is creating especially for you.
John 14:3 Jesus said:
"I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am."
