Saving our spiritual environments
NOW WAIT!!! Wait wait wait, don't run off just because I said evangelism. This post is only about how you really can be an effective evangelist, equipped and ready just as you are. Just as you are, just as Jesus found you.
Beloved friends, you might not believe this but you've already got everything you need to share your faith in Christ with all people. You've got the anointing. He dwells within you (The Holy Spirit), and he can help you to recycle your faith experiences for the benefit of others. It really just comes down to understanding how God's grace is nourishing the new person in you. How he saved you, is saving you, and how He is multiplying your salvation into maturity by sanctifying your life for the works of salvation among all peoples. The simple method for effective communication about salvation is not to talk about what you don't know, but to share what you do know.
In simple terms: Grace has made you for something more than just okay. So real quick, just grab up your Bible and look at the following three points of study. Take a look at the three Graces being revealed there. And read the supporting scriptures for each. Then answer the questions being asked for each. The answers will be your evangelist testimony. The answers will be YOUR identity of righteousness in God's gracious nourishment. It will be your organic, natural expression of faith. And that is the good news that the Lord intends for you to share.
Let's begin---
1. We've been saved: Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 5:1 This is the Grace of Repent
Ask yourself this---
What has God done for you?
2. We're being saved: 1Corinthians 1:18, 2 Corinthians 2:15 This is the Grace of Rely
Ask yourself this---
How has God done this in your life?
3. We live saved: 2 Timothy 1:9, Titus 3:5-7, Ephesians 4:21-25 This is the Grace of Remain
What difference has he made in your life story (experience)?
Friends, That's it!
That's all you need to share your faith effectively. The Holy Spirit will help you understand, to remember what he has done for you, to help you to continue running the race giving you strength and encouragement along the way, and he'll mature your understanding so you'll grow confident in your faith. You are being equipped whether you know it or not. You are being prepared to become a means for the preparation of others. And this is what you were created to become.
Now that you know what you know, go and share that good news story of yours with all people.
Further growth through study:
Grace is the operation of God's love.
