Friends,
Many very good kind hearted people may fall victim to the epidemic of untruth, but as for myself, I am determined to remain in Christ. I believe I am placed here by Divine Providence, as are every believer, to share the gospel of truth. To fail in performing this duty to secure my life or find shelter from worldly scorn by fleeing from that post would be the most evil of all evils for me. I will not serve the AntiChrist church. Violence rises and falls. Evil goes from bad to worse. Though the exengelical [nones] church may forsake the truth, I will remain true to His [God’s] word.
Who is/are the AntiChrist?
We cannot know who he is, but we’ll know his followers. And this will be the sign among you—his people will be the churches incarnation of Satan, the great deceiver.
Second Thessalonians 2:4 describes them by describing their leader—"he who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God." Not only will they present themselves against Christ, but also instead of Christ. As an approved replacement to Christ. He will be the consummate counterfeiter, and those who follow him and his spiritual paths (plural intended) will come in the image of Christ but not “in Christ”. We know that the Antichrist will be a popular and charismatic leader, swaying the masses with his speaking ability and favorable worldly tone. Daniel 7 says he will have "a mouth speaking pompous words.... He shall speak pompous words against the Most High" (verses 8, 25). He will speak against God’s word from within the word. Captivated by his eloquence, the nations will unite in a one-world government, and the fallen church will be right there backing him up. This falling away is part of God’s plan, He (God) will send a strong delusion into the minds of the unsaved people to believe the lies of the Antichrist (2 Thessalonians 2:12). These unbelievers will be among the fellowship of believers.
This isn’t about a people falling out of love with church, this is a people falling out of love with Jesus Christ. Every apostate is an unbeliever yet knows the truth. These ignore the truth out of spiritual bankruptcy, not necessarily out of ignorance. As for faithful believers when we are in the daily course of our divine duty, we are shielded by our God—safe and secure from all alarm. The worst thing that can happen to us is the best thing—the Lord will take us to heaven. So don’t live in fear today. Follow the footsteps of the Savior.
How does this fallen church happen?
By deception, and distraction. Giving heed to unseen demonic forces using their influence to draw away the weak. Trafficking in lies, and developing calculated immoral compasses among the congregations. The choking weeds, entangling the word with cares and pleasures and untruth. And if need be by growing thorns of intolerance aimed for any objections attempting to prevent the erosion of virtue and principle.
And possibly the most sad and troubling cause for the fall of the church is emotional Christianity rooted in joy. Not rooted and growing in the good soil of truth. A faith journey planted on the rock, that fails to thrive in the times of testing because it has no root.
The OBVIOUS solution—Remember your FIRST love, Jesus Christ. Don’t think yourself so enlightened that a plurality of faith practices hasn’t already existed since the beginning. Of course it has. From the beginning the AntiChrist church has existed. From the beginning people have questioned tradition. MY GOD! It was for THIS reason that Jesus HIMSELF came incarnate to teach us about his kingdom.
John 18:37 37
Pilate asked Jesus, "You are a king, then!"
Jesus answered, "You say that I am a king. In fact, the reason I was born and came into the world is to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me."
Friends, in John 8:32 Jesus says, “You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
The truth is vital to your existence. And vital to the existence of the church. Without the truth the church is apostate, fallen away, AntiChrist, exengelical, lost and forsaken. Like it or not, building your church foundations upon the trampled upon word of God may yield MANY fans, but will reap the rewards of the AntiChrist.
Church—You are a living and breathing display of the Kingdom of God. You are a testimony of unconditional love. And you are an army of truth warriors. You are NOT one among many truths. There is ONE Spirit of truth. And—John 16:13 “But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.” Church is NOT a business and it’s especially NOT your business to comfort the schemes of the Devil.
